TRACKING

This service is optional. Once activated, SPOT acquires and sends your GPS coordinates to your SPOT account at a set interval. This is very similar to the check-in feature, except it is automatically performed by the unit every 10 minutes. Anyone with access to your shared page tracking your progress information can view your route, complete with virtual views provided by Google Maps. To continue tracking on longer journeys, the SPOTcasting function must be re-activated every 24 hours.

These tracks are saved in your online account so that you can review them at a later time, or export them to Google Earth or your GPS.
